Debbie currently works in the kitchen at Rye Discovery Centre. "Because of being disabled...there wasn't really anything for disabled people (back then). I hadn't got any confidence. I just plodded...with more disabled people about (now) and a different environment...(she implies that things might have been different.)" But "I've worked all my life apart from a few operations and Covid."
